Located close to some of Napier's best ECCs and schools, children can walk or bike safely on the network of cycle-ways accessible from Parklands. And, if you need to drive your children to school, most are only a short distance drive away.
Napier is renowned for its comprehensive network of cycle-ways, which are also available for walking and running. They cover some of Napier's most beautiful scenery and are a mix of both concrete and limestone paths that anyone can ride.
Adjacent to Parklands on Prebensen Drive, sit several of Napier's big box stores including Mitre 10, Farmlands and Hunting & Fishing. The nearby suburb of Tamatea has a PAK'nSAVE, a Z service station and a pharmacy. And, Napier's city centre is only five minutes away while Taradale Village is just a 10-minute drive. Hastings and Havelock are a 20-minute drive.
The nearby Park Island is Hawke's Bay's largest collection of sportsgrounds including rugby, football and hockey fields. In the same area are walking / running tracks through wooded areas, along with the Park Island Dog Park & Agility Track.
Napier is home to two of New Zealand's most famous wineries: The Mission and Church Road. Both are located within a very short distance of Parklands and are open for cellar-door, wine tasting, and in summer host international music events.
Parklands is located close to the Hawke's Bay expressway & bus network, which provides easy access to key areas in Napier and wider Hawke's Bay. Parklands is also just five minutes' drive from Hawke's Bay airport. Or, if you're feeling fit, you could walk to and from your flights!
